Positive Learning Activities for Youth (PLAY) is a family engagement strategy developed in 2024 with support from the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin: Women’s Fund. Through a variety of intentional experiences, PLAY strengthens connections between youth and the adults in their lives by promoting learning through play.
Designed to complement and enhance existing programs at JCC, PLAY creates opportunities for shared experiences that support engagement, interaction, and growth for both youth and adults.
PLAY includes a rotating dramatic play environment incorporated into select programs at JCC. This space is designed to provide children with engaging, imaginative activities that occupy their attention while adults participate in program-related discussions.
Organizations serving families with young children are invited to contact us to explore becoming a PLAY partner through use of this space.
Onsite PLAY is not a drop-off or standalone play space.
PLAY Stop! Kits extend the PLAY strategy by providing intentional, ready-to-use activities that support learning through play. Each kit is designed to create natural opportunities for adults and youth to interact, connect and engage in meaningful conversations together.
